Monday & Tuesday, 10/7-8:
6th: 3-Vu-Project: Students will complete three separate drawings that are combined together to change smoothly from one image to another. Students will identify how shape, lines, color and pattern create movement in artwork and create it similarly in their drawings to place together.
7th: Complete Adjacent Animal Paintings
8th: Complete Abstract Paintings
Wednesday & Thursday 10/9-10:
6th: Begin Pinch Pots: Students will view the various forms and purposes of clay and ceramic pieces. Students will also review clay tools and begin forming their pinch pots and adding surface design.
7th: Begin Keith Haring Social Activism Projects: Students will view the differences between realistic and abstract artwork. Students will also learn about Keith Haring's inspiration for his abstract art and identify the message of his work and his use of tools of design to create paintings. Students will list positive ideas and emotions to use to create a painting in a similar styles.
8th: Begin Mandalas: Students will learn about the pupose of mandala art in helping to promote focuse and achieve goals. Students will create their own mandala patterns representing a goal they are working to achieve.
RtI: Students will create a silhouette of a landscape. Next, students will use construction paper to create a background to combine with the silhouette.
