Monday, 11/25:
6th: Complete Line Variety Project
7th: Continue Construction Paper Projects of Emphasis & Direction and Balance (Symmetry).
8th: Construct Clay Boxes and Glaze Name Sculptures
Tuesday - Wednesday 11/26, 27:
6th: Begin Pop Art. Students will observe the unique style of pop art and identify events in history that influenced artists like Andy Warhol to develop the style. Next, students will create their own pop art drawings using popular images.
7th: Continue Construction Paper Projects
8th: Continue building and glazing Name Sculptures and Clay Boxes. Students who have completed their ceramic projects may begin a Pull Apart Painting - dividing one painting into quarters for each student to complete as part of a group, based on famous artwork.
RtI: These students are continuing to read the book, Chasing Vermeer. This story follows two sixth grade students as they try to solve the mystery of a famous painting's disapperance.
