For the week of October 21-25
6th grade will be learning more about equipment and tools used in the kitchen. They will take a test over this information on Tuesday, October 22nd. We will then move on to Dairy, Cheese and Yogurt and participate in a cheese tasting experiment on Friday.
7th grade will be finishing up kitchen lab expectations and moving to Ch 22, getting organized in the kitchen. Thursday’s food lab is apple hand pies and Friday we will cover basic measuring.
8th grade is in their Child Development Unit and will be discussing the importance of play for children and making a folder game. On Friday, they will present their games and have the opportunity to play them.
Each class has been challenged to have the highest percentage of parents stop in and say high. The students will be able to do a simple cooking activity with their parents. The class with the highest participation will receive an extra foods lab this wheel.
