Happy new Year and welcome back for the spring semester at Lombard Middle School.
6th grade will spend a couple days finishing up our sewing unit by learning to sew on buttons and watching a video on doing laundry.
We will then begin our Unit on Foods and Nutrition by covering class expectations in the cooking lab.
7th grade continues on their sewing unit. Some students are finishing their practice sewing and winding their bobbins. We will do a quick reveiw and then go over the directions for the back sack projects. I still have a couple projects available for purchase at $6.50 if your child hasn't gotten theirs. 7th grade will continue sewing all week.
Welcome to the new 8th grade classes. I taught most of you last year, but some our new to me. We will have a semester together to learn many new lessons and build on what we learned last year. Both classes will begin by reviewing and writing classroom expectations. We will complete a "lifeboat exercise". and begin a discussion on friends and friendship.
8th grade students will need fabric for their sewing project. This can be purchased through me with PBIS tickets or at Joann Fabrics on N. Henderson street. I will be sending home more information about the amount of fabric needed and any other supplies.
