6th Grade:
Monday – Continue final perspective drawings: add row of trees as a group, discuss ways of creating depth, students will add details to their drawings individually.
Tuesday – Students will add drawn details and color to their perspective drawings.
Wednesday – Final day to complete perspective drawings.
Thursday – Begin wire figure project: discuss differences between 2-D and 3-D art/objects, demonstrate how to build an armature for the figure.
Friday – Continue wire figures: begin building thickness of limbs.
7th Grade:
Monday – “Introduction to Painting” worksheet.
Tuesday – Discuss color wheel and begin color mixing exercise.
Wednesday – Complete color mixing exercise.
Thursday – Discuss the use of brushstroke in painting and begin brushstroke exercises.
Friday – Complete brushstroke exercise and prepare for the beginning of our big paintings on Monday.
8th Grade:
Monday – Begin carving linoleum blocks using Speedball handles.
Tuesday – Continue carving linoleum blocks.
Wednesday – Continue carving linoleum blocks. Discuss methods of printing our blocks and how to sign and number a print.
Thursday – Use printing press to make a print of each linoleum block.
Friday – Use printing barens to make prints of linoleum blocks.
