Paul Bunyan, John Henry, Johnny Appleseed, and also the
Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain.
Create and illustrate own examples of hyperbole.
Wednesday - Early Out
Write a poem or short story including at least five of the figurative
language techniques we have studied. Due Friday.

Verbs Practice
Poetry in Motion - Given an envelope with word slips students will create poems.
They will then trade envelopes and continue the process.
Friday
Vocabulary Quiz over figurative language.
Author's Chair to share the poems and short stories due today.
