This year Lombard Middle School built a schedule in which we have a 20 minute advisory period to begin the day within all three grade levels. This class period is meant to be the student's opportunity to connect with a small group of students and one staff member throughout the school year. The middle school years are difficult enough, but we have a very large school with over 75 staff members and almost 500 kids. It is very easy for a student to feel lost and alone. However, our advisory period is meant to address this head on. Please take the time to ask your child who their advisory teacher is and what they are doing during this class period each day!

Yesterday was a GREAT first day of school. We spent a large portion of the day teaching expectations and the kids behaved and participated fantastically! I am so proud of them all. We will continue on our 2pm early dismissal through next week, and it is our goal to get the chromebooks passed out hopefully sometime very soon. Make sure you check out the pictures below. They are from our end of the day assembly. I'm still trying to decide if the kids or the staff had more fun. WE ARE LOMBARD!  Lombard wants to support our student athletes! Please help us sell Lombard cards this fall to help support our feed the athlete program!
