We are working to implement some of Ron Clark's essentials in our classrooms this year. We still have a lot of work to do, but we have also come a very long ways. Our discipline data is outstanding! Check out the student made video below on remembering to make eye contact! Thank you so much to Mr. Young and everyone that participated with the Black Out Night at our home basketball game on Feb. 12. The amount of school spirit was unbelievable! I have gotten so many compliments on the fun atmosphere this night that it makes me proud to have even been a part of it.
I also want to say one more special thanks to my booster club this year. Vicki Legge and Kristen Bland in particular - YOU GUYS WILL BE MISSED! Galesburg CUSD #205 supports the Illinois Vision 20/20 initiative. Learn more by watching the video or visiting the Illinois Vision 20/20 website. Next Thursday, February 12 is our LAST home girls basketball game. The 8th graders are going to be off to the high school soon. We're going to miss them so badly because they're a great groups of kids. Please come to the game which begins at 4:30 with our 7th grade contest and followed by the 8th grade game.
Lombard pride goes deep within this school. If you love Lombard please make sure that you're here. No guarantees, but we're going to do our best to possibly have a few surprises at this game, too. Wear black and be there next Thursday! |
